One of the first problems I encountered was whenever I clicked on a page link a new Window would open, which was quite annoying.
I eventually discovered that if I clicked on the Tools menu & selected Internet Options. I could then alter the Tab Settings.
The Two settings which are important here are When a pop-up is encountered: which should be set to Always open pop-ups in a new tab & Open links from other programs in: which should be set to A new tab in the current window.
