I first started using Linux in 2006 & I've never managed to get Flash working 100% correctly. However, recently I came across this article on the Ubuntu wiki. After reading it, I closed Firefox & opened the Synaptics Package Manager, I completely removed flashplugin-nonfree & installed adobe-flashplugin. Now Flash works as well as it does in Windows.
