Google Earth Mandriva Linux
I've just tried using the new beta version of Google Earth (v5.0) in Mandriva Linux, the results were my XServer crashed & I had to hold down Ctrl, Alt & Del to reboot my system. I decided to uninstall the beta version & install version 4.3 which can be downloaded from here. Version 4.3 seems to work fine & I've had no problems with it, albeit it's a little slow when compared with the windows version. Installation instructions can be found here on the Ubuntu wiki, don't worry there's no real difference between the Mandriva & Ubuntu installations.

Free Game Engine available here, I found out about it here on the thinBasic forum. Currently it's a Beta Signup & you'll need to wait about 3-4 days but it looks like it'll be worth it.

Universal Extractor 1.6 Beta
Universal Extractor is a brilliant utility that I've been using for some time. It enables you to extract files from pretty much any archive, whether it's ACE, RAR, ZIP even Installers can be opened. The version which is available on FileHippo & the LegRoom website is the older version which is incompatible with Vista. But you can download the Beta version from here which works fine with Vista.
